Krankenschwester- Hebamme (Nurse Midwife or Midwife for Bembereke PRF 339)

Contribution to Strategy:

The maternity department of Bembereke Hospital (HEB) consists of 52 beds (although this is largely insufficient), a delivery room, preparation rooms, and examination rooms. The maternity department acts as a referral center for the local maternities and offers many opportunities to increase one’s skills. Its staff is vital to maintaining its service of compassion, through which many people learn of the love of God. The staff consists of more than 180 Beninese and 2 expatriate missionaries from Europe. Among the Beninese staff are several full time evangelists. HEB is administrated by a Beninese director, medical chief, and nursing supervisor. For more about the hospital, click on the Static Info tab above.

Ministry: HN- Nurse/Midwife/Anesthetist

Responsibilities:

You will be part of a team of 10 Beninese midwives working on a rotating schedule, doing antenatal and postnatal care working in the delivery room. The midwives also take care of abnormal deliveries, and this offers the possibility to increase your professional skills. Special care is given to premature babies. Gynacologie is part of the maternity department.
