Einsätze

The people development department on board Logos Hope consists of around 10 people. Together they coordinate all on board community events e.g. prayer nights, Sunday services etc…. They are responsible to facilitate and coordinate the training, development and care of the on board community through e.g. Logos Hope intensive training program, passion groups, family groups etc... Management of the library and other the people development resources are also part of their responsibility.

Job Content

You are responsible to give leadership to the department and manage any changes to ensure alignment with the vision of OM Ships to develop those who join Logos Hope for a life of Christian ministry. This includes initiating, planning and coordinating all activities related to the various functions of the department. You develop and manage the curriculum on board and ensure implementation thereof, oversee people care activities and ensure all the resources the people development department is responsible for are managed well. You oversee and lead the pre-ship training in order to enhance the preparation and orientation for the new recruits into ships life. You report to the human resource services director on board and are supported in your role by the training consultant on shore.

What we are looking for

You have leadership experience in an international environment, preferably on one of OM Ships. You have in depth bible knowledge. Preferably you have experience in people development and are trained as a coach or trainer. You are able to build and motivate an international team and set vision and direction. As you take responsibility and initiative you exercise discernment in decision making and manage resources, change and stress well. You are able to communicate effectively and have good people skills. You are willing to serve for at least 1 year or longer.

What we offer

We offer a unique and challenging leadership experience in a vibrant international Christian community on board the MV Logos Hope on a voluntary basis. You will visit ports around the world and be able to minister to many layers of society as the ships opens to the public in the ports visited. A program with devotions, prayer nights, Sunday services is part of life on board.
