Responsibilities

- Teach English in a local government school in a Tai Yuan village, to build relationship for further opportunities for the local Tai Yuan church to minister in that village. And also hold English classes for the working class adults in the evenings with the partnership of local Tai Yuan churches.

- Help the Tai Yuan team learn more about the Tai Yuan Christian and Buddhist communities by doing interviews and village surveys.

- Take pictures of the Tai Yuan people and communities for future media projects for the Tai Yuan people.

Living Situation

An attitude of learning is important for missionaries and for anyone interested in cross-cultural ministry. Language and cultural learning is vital and part of the time here would be to allow time for the short-termer to learn about the Thai language, culture and worldviews. And to broaden one’s experience of missions outside just church-planting by visiting various ministries and methods of reaching communities for Christ from other missionaries in North Thailand.
