KENYA - Youth worker at One Life Africa

The mission of the short-termer youth worker will be to support the Team. He/she will help lead the 10-month discipleship school and/or help with the one-week summer camps, which take place in April, August and December. The youth worker will be able to lead different workshops (art, worship, sports, dance, games, …), lead a Bible study group, have discipleship groups, teach life skills and especially, build relationships to share Christ's love with these youths.

 

One Life Africa mentorship program makes a lifelong impact on the lives of young people through mentoring programs, life skills training and support, which allow each one of them to develop their full potential. We want these 13–18-year-olds to achieve academic success, break the cycle of poverty and have transformed lives. The aim is to prepare them to serve their own communities.

 

 

Requirements:

 

- Passion for working with and encouraging the youth

 

- Enjoys building relationships

 

- Willing and able to take a lot of your own initiative

 

- Willing to live upcountry, 3 hours away from Nairobi

 

- Fast learner

 

- Team player

 

- Independent

 

- Outgoing

 

- Flexible
