Summit - Nepal: Formation & Engagement
Nepal’s huge mountains, limited road networks and diverse people groups mean that many Nepali people have not had the opportunity to hear, believe or be discipled in Jesus Christ. We are seeking people who have a passion to share the gospel, make disciples and transform communities in some of the most unreached places of the world.
Commitment Length: 1-2 years (full time)
Requirements
Your time with us will begin with 3 months of intensive training to prepare you for ministry. This training will focus on orientation, language learning, biblical teachings, practical outreaches, cultural exposure trips and opportunities to sample some of the main ministries of OM Nepal
After your initial training is complete you will work in one or two of OM Nepal's main ministry areas. Our most urgent need is for Summit members to join our “Seed Sowing Ministry”, sowing the seed of the gospel in the most least-reached areas of Nepal. Seed Sowing teams trek in remote areas to distribute Christian literature, conduct open air school and village evangelistic programs, show gospel films in public places and build relationships with the people they meet.
You may want to serve in another ministry area like…Tibetan Buddhist, HIV/AIDs, Sport, Youth, Performing Arts, and teaching English to our Nepali team members/students.
Requirements:
- Heart for the Lord
- Passion for the lost
- Be able to speak and read English
- Be flexible, positive and willing to learn new things
- Be willing to learn the local language and adapt to the culture
- Be willing to live with other OM workers in one house, sharing a bedroom, cooking together and working together
