Helpdesk Manager at homeoffice USA (Ref. L1312008)

The Helpdesk Manager will develop and supervise the helpdesk support of ACTS USA with the goal of helping ACTION members – USA staff and missionaries - with any and all computer-related questions and problems.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, supervise, train, and mentor Office Helpdesk Technicians and Remote Helpdesk Technicians to the end goals of the department
  • Oversee the management of the outsourced email service for all ACTION members
  • Coordinate short term trips for RHTs and other ACTS staff to assist with ACTION member needs abroad. The HM does not need to always go on these trips but does need to lead in the planning and preparation
  • Read and learn about new technologies on the horizon
  • Assist ACTS USA IT Director with various projects
  • Upon balancing of above responsibilities assist other ACTS support staff

 

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of Windows XP, Vista, 7, MS Office 2007/10, Mac OS X 10.6/7, and MS Mac Office 2008/11
  • Ability to problem solve computer hardware and software issues
  • Ability to build and rebuild PCsà Mac, Windows, and Linux
  • Ability to help staff connect to and use the wireless networks
  • Ability to maintain documentation on inventory of office equipment including computers
  • Ability to maintain fluid communication with IT Director
  • Ability to order computer hardware and software with approval of IT Director
  • Ability to supervise and train others
  • A willingness to kindly teach staff and ACTION members how to effectively use their computers
  • A heart for reaching out to those who do not know Christ and supporting fellow missionaries and other believers
