LIBERIA - Chief Financial Officer at ELWA Hospital

Description:

 

The Chief Financial Officers reports to the Interim CEO and is responsible for the supervision of all financial transactions of the ELWA Hospital. Also, the Chief Financial Officer is tasked with developing budgets, monitoring transactions, participating in audits and preparing financial reports.

 

The CFO must demonstrate in-depth knowledge of financial policies, procedures, and systems. In addition to being an excellent communicator, the CFO will also have outstanding analytical and time management abilities.

 

 

Skills/Passions/Gifts:

 

Education:

- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration, Banking & Finance, Accounting, Project Management or related field from a recognized university is required. CPA will be an added advantage.

 

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is a MUST

 

 

Experience:

A minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible professional experience in finance, accounting, administration, project Management, or related area is required. Experience in supervisory functions is desirable. Experience in public sector budget and accounting is required.

 

 

Technical:

The Internal Auditor must understand:

 

- the full conduct of Internal Audits

- Information technology systems for financial accounting and reporting, including relevant current issues and developments

- Computer-assisted auditing packages and techniques

- IPSAS Cash Basis and IFRS
