Work Team for Camp Kewina PRF 6614 (mention PRF Nr. if interested)
Contribution to Strategy:
As missionaries we want to demonstrate the love of Christ in practical ways as a prelude to sharing the Gospel with people. By demonstrating a willingness to minister to human need and to work alongside nationals in construction projects, relationships start to be built which can pave the way for spiritual ministries. Short-term teams provide support and encouragement to the missionaries who are working in these ministries. Leadership development is a main focus of SIM Bolivia; these work teams help to develop the infrastructure for Camp Kewiña where leaders are trained and equipped through the camp programs.
Ministry: QW- Work/Service Teams
Responsibilities: Skilled labour is not required, just a willingness to work. Also there will be opportunity for ministry at camp and in the local church.
Ministry 2: QM- Ministry Teams--Outreach, Health, Children, Other
Other Ministry Possibilities: Opportunity to help with camp programs and ministry in a local church.
Future Plans: If an expatriate missionary is required to fill this position, what plans are there for a national to be trained and developed to take over this role in the future? Team will work alongside Bolivians to do the construction work. This is a service ministry. The Camp Kewiña Project is run by Bolivian nationals.
