Gemeindebau unter Minderheiten (Church Planter among Minority People Groups PRF 7525) Bei Interesse PRF Nr. angeben

Contribution to Strategy:

This ministry is right at the heart of our field team’s vision and strategy because we long to see the church established among minority people groups such as the Uygher, Hui, Kazak, Tibetan, Mongol and others. The main understanding of these team members will be that in whatever capacity they find themselves, they will see studying language, teaching English, working in business all as part of reaching the goal, that goal being minority people groups come to Christ. Relationship building is the key, and if this means studying language for seven years to have a legitimate platform in which to do so, then it is all worth it. The years of preparation are not in vain as no one can predict regulation changes in China. Every day must be used to build relationships and make connections and plant seeds. Those that are worried about getting kicked out at any minute need not apply. We need team members who are willing to be used for as long as God keeps the door open and keep in mind “the process in the goal” and God will be glorified in this work if we remain focused. These groups are still among China's unreached, with only a handful of workers trying to reach out to millions! Come and join us!

Responsibilities: You could begin by studying Mandarin for one year and then the language and culture of your chosen minority people group, such as Hui, Uygur, Tibetan, Mongol, Kazak or other. (Currently a Uygher focus team is the most active in formation with one family on the ground and others joining soon.) Through this contact, you would be able to build relationships with local people in the community and see ways to intentionally reach out to them. This might mean taking prayer walks each day as you are out practicing language and as the Lord leads, starting up conversations with people along the way. Wonderful relationships can be built in this way, doors opened, and seeds planted for the Kingdom. As you spend these years learning language, other options for further visa platforms can be explored, which may lead to innovative and entrepreneurial ministry, or if you have the proper credentials and training, you may simply take up a teaching position in the community. Whether by language study, teaching, or through a business platform, you will have the opportunity to invest in lives, building the church one person at a time among these minority people.

Other Ministry Possibilities: This ministry could be combined with language and culture study, teaching, or some other creative placement with the focus of reaching out to minority people groups.
