We need someone who can serve as a liaison between different entities in the Pacific and our wider family of organisations to facilitate the flow of information and materials useful for publicity. The person in this job would ideally be a networker and someone who is good at seeing (and seizing) opportunities to share the stories of our work in the Pacific. Communications Coordinator

 

Main Duties Include:

 

• Encourage and facilitate the capturing, preparing and distributing of stories (related photos and video footage) that reflect God’s work related to Bible translation

• Encourage and facilitate appropriate strategic visits from the organization’s communications staff, major donor groups, and volunteer communications professionals

• Facilitate entity responses to requests from the organization’s communications staff, including securing approvals for publicity pieces

• Help develop and enforce publicity policies for entity as well as member prayer letter and website policies and guidelines

• Assist the director by identifying, formulating, and submitting general information helpful to organizational publicity efforts (New Testament dedications, partnership descriptions, etc.)

• Follow-up on what is published to report back to writers and administrators

• Share prayer requests from the Pacific internally and with the wider family of organisations

• Work with the Pacific Area graphic artist to create publicity pieces

What you’ll need

 

• Personal relationship with Jesus Christ

• A church that stands behind you

• Team-mindset, resilience and ability to work without close supervision

• Bachelor's degree in related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• Training in writing, editing and interviewing helpful, but not required

• Networking skills essential

• Previous multicultural experience helpful

• (Desirable) Experience or desire to work in an inter-cultural context

 

Minimum age: 18

Duration: 1 year or more
