We have a passion to reach out to all of Bangladesh. The university students of today are going to lead the ever-changing nation of Bangladesh tomorrow. What better way to reach out to Bangladesh, than having tomorrow's leaders in this country be followers of Christ.

Responsibilities:

The first public univerity in Bangladesh was founded in Dhaka in 1921. Since the foundation of Dhaka University, 92 other universities have been established in Bangladesh, a country similar in size to Greece or the state of Louisiana. That is a little over a new university per year since 1921. In addition to this, Bangladesh has 1,500 colleges, making it one of the largest higher education systems in the world. Needless to say there is a huge need for outreach to these students. About 90% of these students come from a M*m background. SIM Bangladesh is already involved in spoken English classes and computer training programs. University students participate in these ministries, but we believe that a focused effort is needed to more effectively reach out to this segment of the Bengali population. Like university students everywhere, students here have a strong desire to learn, push the limits, and the time to do both. A vision-caster is needed to come build relationships with students. Through these relationships, the vision-caster (YOU!) will develop 2 or 3 concrete proposals for ways that SIM Bangladesh can reach out to university students for Jesus. With this in mind, the vision-caster (YES YOU!) would need to be both creative and a self-starter. Bengali students love connecting with people from different countries that are their own age. They will eagerly love you and bring you into their lives. We need someone who will do the same.
