Contribution to Strategy:

The heart's cry of the church in Mali is for qualified leadership. The lack of church leaders has been a setback to the progress of the church. SIM's purpose is to plant, strengthen, and partner with churches around the world; this ministry intentionally partners with Malian churches through mobilizing and training leaders.

Ministry: CG- Non-Institutional Church Leadership Training

Responsibilities: The church in Mali has a great need for leadership mobilization and training. If you respond to this need, you would study the various facets of a Malian church leadership model, identifying specific leadership needs. You would offer suggestions concerning how SIM might contribute to building church leadership. Areas of concern are contextualized training of young adults, mobilization, and coordinating and implementing SIM strategy for networking with local churches and other mission agencies.

Other Ministry Possibilities: To be determined as the work progresses.

Required training: At ease with cross-cultural relationships. Must be able to take initiative. Leadership mobilization and church ministries.

Recommended Experience: Leadership, mobilization and church ministries in home culture.

Personality Issues/ Cultural Considerations:: Good people skills are an absolute necessity, leadership abilities an asset.
