Student Worker PRF 8854 Bei Interesse PRF Nr. angeben

Contribution to Strategy: Roughly half of India's population is under 25 years old, making it a hugely strategic demographic for the future of India. Forces of cultural and moral change mean India's youth, especially those on college campuses, are more open than ever to tangle with questions of meaning, faith, and religion. Our Indian partners with whom you'll be working has extensive experience in engaging Christian young people. Their ministry is strategically placed within one of India's most prestigious universities whose students go on to be leaders in government, business, and the non-profit sector. Through weekly Bible studies, worship meetings, and relationships, this college student ministry develops mature students, helping them become ministers right where they are.

Responsibilities: You would come on staff with our Indian partner organization and work under their leadership to help strengthen their existing college student ministry. You would particpate in and help to lead weekly Bible study groups, build relationships with both Christian and unbelieving students, and help to organize student camps and retreats. You would also be responsible for training and equipping students in both evangelism and discipleship and developing resource material for various programs. You would also be expected to join meaningfully into church life and contribute your giftings to its fellowship.

Other Ministry Possibilities: You may gain exposure to or be involved in many ministries of our Indian partners, including programs for children from primary school through high school, pastor's training programs, and special outreach weeks. You'll also be a part of weekly church life at their church.

Future Plans: Our Indian partner already has a great program started. We're only seeking to provide support through partnering with them by placing student workers in their program.

Required training: Training in student ministry, evangelism, discipleship, and basic cross-cultural skills.

Recommended Experience: Previous experience with InterVarsity or Crew style campus ministry is preferred.

Personality Issues/ Cultural Considerations:: Above all else, you'll need to come with a flexible, humble, servant's attitude as you work under the already established Indian leadership.
