Specialty Medical Technicians, Galmi Hospital (Lab, X-ray, Biomedical) PRF 7448

Position Information

Contribution to Strategy: SIM Niger’s 100+ missionaries serve in a wide variety of ministries across the country. The purpose of SIM Niger is to glorify God by planting, strengthening, and partnering with the Church in Niger. Galmi Hospital is one of the few places in this M*m country where people have the chance to hear the Gospel and receive adequate medical care. Thus, the ministry of Galmi Hospital provides an open door to demonstrate the love of Christ in both word and deed. This role is vital to providing quality medical care for patients.

Trained biomedical technicians (lab, x-ray or biomedical equipment) are needed to assure the long-term success and sustainability of the hospital. We are looking for people with the skill and expertise to oversee the running of the hospital lab, x-ray, and to maintain and repair various biomedical equipment used in the hospital. Leadership development, training and teaching the national staff, and building their technical knowledge base and capacity are the most important aspects of this ministry opportunity.

2. Work alongside Nigerien technicians to train, mentor, and encourage them professionally and spiritually.

3. Supervise the maintenance and repairs of medical equipment.

4. Carry out other duties specific to the field. A complete job description for each position is available.

Ministry 2: CE- Evangelism/Outreach

Other Ministry Possibilities: Friendship evangelism, literacy, discipleship, youth work, Bible teaching, and church involvement are a few examples. We encourage reaching out to our M*m neighbors and discipling those we work with through building personal relationships.
